And an even greater number of people do not know that 3 of the 4 Johnston brothers were aboard the F/V Mary T that survived the Storm and lived to tell about their adventure in the New York Times best selling nonfiction book: The Perfect Storm.
Many of you have seen the BBC produced documentary about the Perfect Storm that has aired on The Learning Channel and other cable channels. Many of you have seen the national major network coverage of the success of the book, the Storm and the documentaries. Many of you have seen the documentary released by the Discovery Channel. And still many more of you will see the major motion picture of The Perfect Storm that was released on June 30, 2000.
